To place a bid on an object, you need to have a buyer account with Klaravik. Creating an account is free of charge, and you can register here. Once registered, you’ll receive an email with a link to activate your account. After activation, you can start placing bids.
If you’ve forgotten your password, click on “Forgot password”. You’ll then receive an email with a link to reset it. Make sure to enter the same username you used when registering! If you’ve forgotten your username, please contact our customer service at info@klaravik.se.
Carefully read the auction description and review all photos and any available videos. These usually provide a lot of useful information. If you still have questions about a specific object, you are welcome to contact our customer service.
If a bid is placed during the last three minutes of an auction, the auction will be extended by another three minutes. This gives other bidders a fair chance to respond, and prevents last-second bidding tactics. This practice is common in online auctions and is similar to the “going once, going twice, sold” method used in live auctions.
An autobid allows the system to bid on your behalf. You set a maximum amount you’re willing to pay, and the system will automatically place bids for you up to that amount — but only when necessary. Your maximum bid remains hidden from other bidders. Autobids are marked with an “A” in the bid history. With a manual bid, you need to place a new bid each time someone outbids you. Keep in mind that if two bids are equal, the autobid will lead the auction — because it was placed first.
Yes, you can! Klaravik offers a watchlist feature where you can set alerts for a specific keyword (e.g. ‘Volvo BM 814’), an entire category (e.g. ‘tractor’), and even filter by location (e.g. ‘Svedala, Skåne’). You can manage all your alerts and favorite items under the “Saved” tab when logged in. You can also choose whether to receive email notifications when new matches appear (we send a maximum of one email per day).
All objects on Klaravik are sold without a viewing unless otherwise stated. You place your bid based on the information provided in the listing, including photos, descriptions, and videos. Therefore, it’s important to carefully review all available information. If the object doesn’t match the auction description at pickup, you have the right to invoke your inspection rights — but note that the object must not be removed from the location.
As a buyer, you are both entitled and obligated to verify the condition of the object upon collection, based on the auction description. If the object does not match the listing, you may file a complaint — but it is important that the item remains at the location for the collection. The inspection obligation acts as your safeguard as a buyer. Here you can fill out the complaint form.
A buyer’s fee is added to every winning bid. The exact amount is shown on each auction listing when you are logged in to Klaravik.
A reserve price is the minimum price the seller has agreed to accept for an object. Each auction listing indicates whether the reserve price has been met. If the reserve is not met, Klaravik will contact you shortly after the auction to try to complete the sale. Keep in mind: all bids on Klaravik are binding, regardless of whether the reserve price is met.
When you win an auction, you will receive an invoice from PayEx via email — usually on the same day the auction ends. You can also download the invoice by logging into your Klaravik account. Didn’t receive the invoice? Please check your spam folder.
Once your payment is received (allow 1–2 banking days), you’ll receive a confirmation email along with the seller’s contact details so you can arrange a time to collect the object. Remember to schedule a time that suits both parties before visiting the location.
While we cannot issue invoices in other currencies, you are welcome to make payments in your preferred currency.
Here’s how:
– Use a currency converter to calculate the SEK amount in your currency
– Follow the payment details listed on your invoice
Please note:
– Exchange rates may vary slightly, which may result in a small payment discrepancy
– If the difference is significant, we will contact you — either to request the remaining amount or issue a refund if you’ve overpaid
– For the most accurate rates, we recommend checking with your bank
To comply with VAT regulations, whether your purchase is within the EU or exported outside the EU, you as the buyer must provide documentation confirming that the item has left Sweden.
Because you are responsible for the transport, Klaravik (as the intermediary) must verify the export before the seller can report the transaction as an EU or export sale. Only then can a VAT refund be processed. VAT is always charged on our invoices. However, if you provide valid proof of export, the VAT will be refunded in accordance with our terms and conditions. For more details on reverse charge and transport responsibilities, visit the Swedish Tax Agency’s website.
To receive a VAT refund, send valid export documents to info@klaravik.se by the 10th day of the month following collection. Late submissions may not qualify for a refund.
For EU Sales, submit:
– A signed CMR or consignment note (for registered vehicles: include the transport company, VIN or Swedish registration number, export date, and signatures from both carrier and recipient)
– An invoice from the transport company (invoice needs to list object ID or destination of departure)
– A signed copy of Klaravik’s export declaration (included in the pickup receipt)
– A bank statement showing your company’s name, IBAN, and BIC/Swift number
For Exports Outside the EU, submit:
– A customs declaration (showing the VIN for registered vehicles)
– A signed copy of Klaravik’s export declaration
– A bank statement showing your company’s name, IBAN, and BIC/Swift number
If you’re not using a transport company, provide alternative proof of export, such as:
– Ferry tickets or invoices
– GPS tracking data
– Boarding passes
– Vehicle registration documents
– Insurance papers
– Inspection reports
– Workshop invoices
– Road tax receipts
– Any third-party document confirming the export
If you have any follow-up questions regarding what applies when you hire a transport company for the pickup, related to the export – please contact us at info@klaravik.se.
If you’re a registered transport company, submit:
– A signed CMR or consignment note issued by your company (for registered vehicles: include transport company, VIN/registration number, export date, and signatures)
– A copy of your transport license
– A signed copy of Klaravik’s export declaration
– A bank statement showing your company’s name, IBAN, and BIC/Swift number
Each listing states the municipality in Sweden where the object is located. Seller contact information will be provided once your payment has been registered.
Objects must be collected within 12 days of the auction’s closing date.
Swedish registration plates are removed when a vehicle is exported. To drive the vehicle, you’ll need your own plates. Please contact Klaravik Customer Support for help applying for temporary registration through the Swedish Transport Agency.
The documents are usually handed over upon collection. If Klaravik is the registered owner and/or the vehicle has an outstanding debt, the documents will be sent by post after pickup.
To de-register a vehicle in Sweden, the Swedish Transport Agency requires one of the following:
– A customs declaration (showing VIN or Swedish registration number)
– A CMR (with transport company, VIN/Swedish registration number, export date, and signatures)
– Domestic registration documentation (showing VIN)
Klaravik is only the intermediary, not the actual seller. The invoice lists the seller by a unique “Seller ID,” which also appears on the pickup receipt, where the seller’s company name and contact information are stated. Together, these documents confirm the identity of the actual seller.
If the vehicle was previously registered in Sweden, you may request confirmation from the Swedish Transport Agency. If it was never registered in Sweden, you can try contacting the manufacturer to request a Certificate of Conformity.
Our sellers range from small farms and construction companies to Sweden’s largest municipalities and rental firms.
No, if you are located outside of Sweden, you may purchase on Klaravik on behalf of a company — but you cannot sell.
However, Klaravik also operates in Denmark and Finland. If you are a business located in one of those countries, you may sell through klaravik.dk or klaravik.fi.
